Actually cannot believe how quickly summer has flown by!

August’s Must Have’s include a little of everything…

Again on the topic of beauty, I’m diving deeper into oils and am currently obsessed with Biossance Squalane Oil. I’m using this product in my nightly skincare regime in lieue of moisturizer and I wake up so glowy & dewy. I love it!

In addition to being vegan & cruelty free, Biossance Squalane Oil is also a clean product

As someone with dry skin, I was hoping for an exfoliant that I could use all over, but that would also be gentle enough to use on my face. While I did go into Lush hoping for a waste free bar, I walked out with their Ocean Salt Scrub, and I’m not mad about it. It smells delicious and the ingredients are clean enough to eat. Literally! It’s made with sea salt, silken tofu and mango butter!

Love how Lush offers a vegan option in the Ocean Salt Scrub

I am currently obsessed with Bite Beauty’s Vegan Agave+ Lip Line, and have been using their Daytime Vegan Lip Balm, Weekly Lip Scrub & Night Time Lip Therapy for a couple months now. Is it a serious game changer. My lips are the smoothest, loveliest they’ve been all year!

Bite Beauty’s Vegan Agave+ Lip Line is the only ‘lip chap’ I want to put on my lips

Now onto food! I’ve been totally hooked on salad lunches all summer long and I don’t foresee the trend stopping anytime soon. I mix greens & kale with cucumber, tomatoes, pickled jalapeños, artichokes, olives, avocado, seeds and smoked tofu, then toss in my Easy Vegan Tahini Dressing. It is the ultimate big old salad with the best of everything. TRUST ME.

Get on the salad band wagon before fall gets here with my Easy Vegan Tahini Dressing

I also need the world to know about the best (albeit only) vegan gelato I have ever tried, Uma Luma Gelato! On the vegan front, this will be the creamiest, dreamiest, non dairy, scoop of anything you may ever experience. While Uma Luma’s storefront is local to Vancouver, they do also sell their goods by the tub in some lower mainland & Victoria spots. You may cringe at the price, but I swear it’s worth every penny.

Uma Luma is proving real problematic to my usual low sugar diet

And that’s a wrap for August! Now who’s ready for September?
